Before becoming executive director in 2019, Michele Brock served on the CFAD Board of Directors the previous four years, including her last year on the board as vice chair. She also worked in various capacities for nine years at AMPERAGE Marketing & Fundraising in Cedar Rapids, most recently as director of fundraising. Her work at AMPERAGE included helping clients raise over $45 million, leading 11 capital campaigns, several market research projects and numerous marketing plan implementations.
Prior to AMPERAGE, she was the public relations and foundation director for UnityPoint-Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa for 10 years, where she led a highly successful capital campaign for a new hospital. She also has worked in fundraising and public relations at other organizations in the area.
She has a BA in journalism/mass communication and Spanish and her MBA in organizational effectiveness, both from the University of Iowa, and is a certified fundraising executive (CFRE).
She is actively involved in her community and at her parish, St. Joseph in Marion, volunteering as a leader there in many different capacities. She and her husband reside in Cedar Rapids and have two daughters.
