St. Paul Women’s Society - Traer recently received a St. Katharine Drexel Grant from The Catholic Foundation in the Archdiocese of Dubuque (CFAD) for its sewing project outreach. The grant specifically supports the members ability to sew lap quilts for local nursing homes and veteran’s hospitals as well as baby items for various organizations in the diocese.

November 26 marked the birthday of CFAD’s patron saint, St. Katharine Drexel. At its recent meeting, the CFAD board, at the recommendation of the CFAD Grant Committee, approved nine recipients of the 2025 St. Katharine Drexel Grant. Congrats! LaSalle Catholic Schools – Cedar Rapids received a St. Katharine Drexel Grant from The Catholic Foundation in the Archdiocese of Dubuque (CFAD) for its Early Catholic Family Life Project (ECFL). The grant specifically focuses on establishing this educational and interactive program with new parents and families at LaSalle Catholic Schools.
