 The investment services of CFAD uplifts our entire Catholic community. We invest the charitable funds of our donors to multiply their giving to nonprofits. We serve as an investment partner to many Catholic parishes, schools, cemeteries and organizations, maximizing financial stability for their missions and ministries.
 
 CFAD takes reasonable steps to invest in Catholic responsible investments:

• Regularly reviews its investments against the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops guidelines while providing sound financial returns

• Applies investment screens to the foundation's portfolios wherever possible

• Avoids investing in companies whose activities conflict with the teachings of the Catholic Church

With stewardship as one of our core values, CFAD implements best practices and professionally stewards assets donated and entrusted to it:

• Adheres to the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA), the required regulations related to investing endowments:

  • Regularly reviews the needed investment policy

  • Holds a diversified endowment portfolio to minimize risk and maximize return

  • Has a thoughtful distribution rate to factor inflation and needed long-term growth

• Outlines in its investment policy:

  • Objectives, restrictions and procedures to be applied to each strategic portfolio

  • Liquidity needs, distribution rates, management strategies, time horizons and Catholic screens
